BEHIND THE FINISH: BRONZE

Bronze finishes come in a wide range of tones and textures, from warm, reddish hues to deep, dark shades. They can be matt or glossy, smooth or textured, and many develop a natural patina over time. Most bronze finishes feature a "living finish," meaning they evolve with wear, developing a unique character. We offer three distinct bronze finishes, each with its own appearance and maintenance requirements.

WEATHERED BRONZE

This finish features brass treated with a high-level deposit of copper before the bronze application, giving it a deep, steely tone. As it wears over time, a warm copper undertone emerges, enhancing its beauty. This finish tends to wear fairly quickly and requires higher maintenance in wet areas, such as showers.

MATT BRONZE

Matt Bronze features warm, rich tones without high shine, resulting in a deep, chocolatey colour. Unlike distressed finishes that reveal brass undertones, this finish naturally develops character over time, particularly in high-traffic areas where frequent contact exposes the warmth of the brass, creating a beautifully aged look. Please note that this finish requires higher maintenance in wet areas, such as showers, to preserve its appearance.

ENDURING MATT BRONZE

This finish differs from our living finish bronzes, as it is designed to withstand the test of time while maintaining its silky-smooth texture. The warm, dark chocolate bronze requires less maintenance to preserve its original factory finish, making it ideal for those who prefer a consistent appearance. This durable finish will keep its rich, silky brown tone looking beautiful for years to come.

CARE & MAINTENANCE

Products should be washed gently with warm, soapy water and dried with a soft, non-abrasive cloth. To remove limescale, use a proprietary limescale remover according to the directions of use, ensuring it is not left on longer than recommended. Avoid using abrasive materials or harsh chemicals, as these can damage the finish. Regular descaling may be necessary for shower heads, particularly in hard water areas. Note that humidity and sunlight can affect the appearance of finishes over time.
